Anthony's Restaurants is committed to giving back to the
community in which we are located and feel grateful for the privilege
of truly making a difference in our communities. Here are some examples
of how we get involved.
Fishermen’s Fall Festival
Fishermen's Fall Festival is held annually in September
on the boardwalk of Fishermen’s Terminal; Chinook’s is one
of the major sponsors.
The Festival celebrates the return of the North Pacific
fishing fleet to the terminal, works to increase the public’s knowledge
of the importance of the fishing industry as well as Fishermen’s
Terminal to Seattle while raising money for The Seattle Fishermen’s
Memorial Foundation. This is an all-volunteer event that depends on over
200 volunteers for its success.
The festival provides families with a fun and educational
outing on the waterfront as well as an opportunity to learn more about
seafood. Hands on art projects with fishing themes are complementary for
all children and admission to the festival is free. Proceeds from the
activities within the festival are donated to the Seattle Fishermen’s
Memorial to assist families of fishers lost at sea. The Fishermen’s
Fall Festival is a truly unique Seattle event!
Dean Tucker/Anthony’s Restaurant
Graduate Fellowship in Viticulture
Join Anthony's Restaurants, April 26-27, for Spring
Barrel Tasting at Tucker Cellars! Anthony’s celebrates the annual
Spring Barrel Tasting in the Yakima Valley by hosting a Salmon BBQ at
Tucker Cellars, which raises money to be donated from Anthony’s
to a viticulture fellowship in memory of Dean Tucker. Dean partnered with
Anthony’s to bring fresh Yakima Valley produce directly from his
farm to our guests each harvest. Dean’s family is also a pioneer
in the Washington wine industry.
Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Banquet
Each November, Chinook’s closes its doors to
the public and serves a gourmet dinner featuring “treasures of the
sea”. Last year over 225 people attended the annual sold-out event
and raised $152,000 for the memorial. All proceeds directly benefit the
Seattle Fishermen’s Memorial Committee.
The Epicurean Affair
Anthony’s HomePort in Everett has hosted this
sold-out fund-raiser banquet each March. The restaurant closes its doors
to the public, and donates all food, as well as services of several of
its chefs and dozens of servers and support staff. The dinner benefits
the Providence General Hospital Foundation. In the 22nd year of hosting
this sold-out gala event, Anthony's was able to help the foundation raise
$103,000!
Brunch by the Bay
Anthony’s Woodfire Grill in Everett hosts
this event, held on a Sunday each October. Over 175 guests feast on a
gourmet brunch, prepared by Anthony’s chefs. The Restaurant closes
its doors to the public, and donates the space and all food, as well as
the service of the chefs, servers and support staff. The brunch has raised
over $202,000 to support the Providence Hospice and Home Care of Snohomish
County.
Des Moines Legacy Foundation Brunch
Recently, Anthony’s HomePort Des Moines hosted
the Legacy Foundation brunch raising over $25,000, in 2007 alone, for
the Des Moines senior center in. Our Des Moines team generously donated
their time as well as the restaurant and food to make this brunch a success.
