This position is responsible for coordinating the entire section and communicating with front and back-of-the-house team members to provide a dining experience that will make them want to return soon. You must describe and suggest food and beverages, including specials. You must take and process guest orders and ensure that all items are properly prepared and served timely. Make sure that guests are satisfied with food and service, and respond to additional requests. Total guest bills and accept payment. Responsible for the entire guest experience from the time they are seated through departure.
High school graduate or equivalent.
One to two years serving experience in a high volume, fine dining dinner house, preferably one that serves seafood. Strong knowledge of wines, preferably Northwest wines.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be able to converse with guests in a warm, friendly, gracious manner. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations. Must enjoy guest service, have excellent organization skills and sense of timing.
Must be able to stand and walk for periods of up to four hours. Must be able to bend, stoop, and carry up to 20 pounds frequently.
