This Position maximizes guest seating and table turns ensuring a smooth flow of the restaurant. Greets guests upon arrival, escorts them to their table, provides menus, the wine list, and points out any best of the season specialties. Manages special seating requests consistent with availability. Relays messages to servers or server assistants as appropriate. Answers telephone, gives directions to restaurant, answers questions and takes reservations and messages. Maximizes dining room flow, seating and proper section rotation.
High School graduate or equivalent is required.
Previous lead host(ess) experience in a high volume fine dining restaurant.
Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations. Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. Must be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other Team Members. Must possess excellent guest relations skills.
Able to stand and walk quickly for periods of up to four hours. Able to lift up to 20 pounds.
